Located in Northwest Wisconsin, my goal is to capture your life, your adventures, your everything.
I primarily serve Western Wisconsin (Menomonie, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, River Falls, Hudson) and the Twin Cities area but I am very much open to travel and capturing you in your favorite corner of the world. Now for the big question - why should you stick around, check out my work and hopefully add me to your 'short list' of photographers that you believe can truly capture you, your style and your life? I honestly believe that one of the strongest qualities that sets my art apart from so many others out there is my prowess for creativity. Take a look at posts in my Wedding category to get a great idea of my shooting and artistic style.

My goal for every shoot I am on is that when it's done - I want to have captured all of the memories you were hoping for while having a good time getting there. My personality is laid back with a touch of quirky humor. Basically - I feel like I can get along with just about anyone and because of that - I can capture great images of you being you.
- I have a passionate dedication to your happiness
I am NOT one of those photographer's that is watching the clock and the second it strikes 'Contractual Time Over' bolts for the door. I believe that the really special events of our lives happen organically and can't be planned or timed. For that reason - sure - I have specific time periods of coverage agreed upon but if the vibe at the end of that time is showing promise - you can bet I'll be there to capture it. My goal, my job, is to capture you and your life. I will do everything in my power to do the best I can for you.

Anna + Nick | Holy Hill Engagement Photography

Hola Friends! Como estas?

I have some engagement picture love to share with you!

Just a week or so before all of the beautiful fall colors in the great state of Wisconsin faded – I made a trip down to the Milwaukee area to capture the engagement photos for my friends Anna and Nick. They live in Menomonee Falls which happens to be near one of the most beautiful religious landmarks in the state – Holy Hill. Interesting Fact: Holy Hill’s full title is ‘The Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians, at Holy Hill’. A mouthful to say the least. :)

The trip down was great – I grew up in Brookfield so it gave me a chance to visit my mom who currently resides in New Berlin. I don’t get down there as often as I should. I even took a little trip to my high school alma mater, Brookfield Central. Wowzers has that place gotten a face lift (sadly I can’t say the same about their website). Nice to see the taxpayers of Brookfield still care about education funding. :) I didn’t visit the school during normal ‘classroom’ hours – try 2AM. Weird I know but I brought my cam and tripod and captured some really neat shots. I am even playing around with some HDR photography using images from that night. Should be interesting and I’ll post them when I’m happy with my tweaking. HDR though awesome and creates a very unique look, I am sad to say is a technique I haven’t played around with much. Plenty of time for learning in this life, right?

Now….onto the engagement photos! Anna and Nick are a couple I have known for many years now. Really cute together and just another example of a pair made for each other. You know how I tell? It’s easy – when my favorite pictures from a session are ones I didn’t plan for – you have it – you have magic!
